|
The 2009 All-Around state
champion, Rybar ended his high school career as one of the most decorated
gymnasts in state and conference history. In addition to winning the
IHSA All-Around title, Doug placed in every event in the state finals as a
senior; winning the still rings, finishing second in the high bar, placing
fourth in the parallel bars and vault, and receiving a fifth place in floor
exercise. Over his four years of state finals contests, Rybar ended up
with 16 state meet medals. In West Suburban Conference competition
from 2006-2009, Doug compiled 28 varsity individual medals. Rybar was
inducted into the Downers Grove North Hall of Fame in 2017. |
